“ Mirror Organs: A Play of Metonymy", 2017

32 Robots perform in unison in between 2 interactive screens creating a performance of the collective. These ‘invisible soldiers’ guard and honor nothing other than the screens in front of and behind them. Error is the mark of their individuality. Their motion becomes a balletic yet benign choreographic signifier of collective control. In turn there are two video cameras installed between the guns and the screens. These cameras film the scene in front of it, each sending their footage in real time to the screen opposite it. The politics and dynamics of being looked at. How, why, where and who become big questions in the arena of visual engagement.

32개의 로봇이 2개의 대화형 화면 사이에서 일률적으로 공연하여 집단의 퍼포먼스를 만든다. '보이지 않는 병사들'은 앞과 뒤의 스크린 외에는 그 어떤 것도 지키고 있지 않다. 그들의 움직임은 집단적 통제의 발레 같은 안무기표가 된다. 차례로 총과 스크린 사이에 두 대의 비디오 카메라가 설치 되어 카메라는 앞에 있는 장면을 촬영하고 각각의 장면을 반대편 화면에 실시간으로 전송한다. 바라보는 시선의 정치역학. 어떻게, 왜, 어디서, 누가 의 질문들은 보고 보이는 시각 교전의 큰 질문으로 다가간다.
